Most bad things are results of good intentions. You don't intend for something bad to happen but you can't really predict human nature. A war has waged on and it all began from good intentions. A big chunk of the world found their rights being infringed upon and decided they would no longer stand for it. A bigger chunk of it felt nothing needed to change as protecting the already existing rights was beneficial for them. I suppose the biggest drive was money. I also assume that doesn't make a difference anymore. Somewhere along the way both sides became too stubborn, too selfish. Middle ground was soon erased and while nobody truly knows what side started it the fact remains that a war was started. The fight to protect one another evolved into a fight to protect oneself. What used to be a peaceful walk along the streets became a sprint or run from where you where to where you needed to be. What once was a precious sight of flowers and nicely kept homes and storefronts was now nothing more than stained buildings and people fist fighting and murdering like it was just part of daily life. Eventually it was. Now stand those who have, for the most part, been able to avoid the chaos. A lot of those in that world now exist below ground to avoid the bloodshed above. Markets are hidden away so that only those in the know can access them without leading the radicals to them. Music has become something close to extinct. Only few, teens and young adults with time and determination, continue on it's legacy in dingy rooms populated by a handful of other people who risk their lives to show up just to hear something other than the sounds of gunfire, bombs, and the screams, shrieks, and cries/pleas of those who were not so fortunate. The city where I reside has become a city of mazes. Some paths lead to dead ends, literally, while others lead you to where you wish to be.
